Hosteen Klah VS Mimi Parker

i Just was listening to “ Dancing and Bleeding “ a new song by the Duluth LDS quiet indie band Low and its electronica beat reminds me of Native American tom sounds, perhaps for dance.

I had to look up the story of the Wheelright founding. One site referenced 1,300 wax cylinder of music of pueblo singers of the 1930s in Berlin museum.

Jonathan Batkin told me once I could NOT check out their sacred music holdings.

I saw Low at the refurbished Old Union at Stanford.

Hosteen Klah sometimes Hastiin was friend of Ms Wheelright.

Duluth is angler version of an early french New France explorer something something Du Luht

Sylvie Simmons sluds Earthwise sonly

ED5B46A0-1D62-4615-AD64-D0E56A0FDE23

Author and uketarian to support Matt the Electrician November soonly at Cubberley Community Center’s H-1 Room. Tickets at EventBrite. I Earthwise did 150 shows in 3 different spaces at The Cub in the 1990s but not in about 18 years. H-1 was Ron Jones’ classroom during The Wave. It is also nearest to Rick’s Rather Rich.

i obviously have more to say but meanwhile here is Sylvie herself on the matter:
Sylvie is an award-winning writer, the author of fiction and non-fiction books and a leading music journalist since the late ’70s. She is one of very few women included among the predominantly male rock writing elite. The BBC made a documentary about her, titled The Rock Chick.
Her books include biographies of Neil Young and Serge Gainsbourg, and, most recently the New York Times and international best-seller I’m Your Man: The Life Of Leonard Cohen, which has been translated into 25 languages.
Sylvie is also singer-songwriter and ukulele player. In 2014 she signed with Light In The Attic Records and released her debut album Sylvie to worldwide acclaim. The UK Guardian newspaper hailed it as “one of the most beautiful albums of the year”; Rolling Stone magazine said, “She’s not only good, she’s good”; and the UK Times newspaper described her as “Poetic, guileless, reminiscent of a female Leonard Cohen.”
—————
More….
Born and raised in London, Sylvie started playing music when she was five. At age eight she was singing and tap-dancing onstage. But in her teens, paralyzed by stage fright when she performed with her guitar, she turned to writing about music instead. In 1977 she moved to Los Angeles to be the US correspondent for leading UK rock magazine Sounds, and went on to work for major music publications and newspapers around the world, interviewing everyone from Michael Jackson to Metallica, Black Sabbath to Johnny Cash. She also had a syndicated radio show in the US and a syndicated newspaper column. But, homesick, she moved back to London, where she continued to write about music. After a period li

Which reminds me: speaking of “li”  – I have an idea for a Robert Hunter Hoot modified to be Lint Hunt wherein the performers would be limited to Robert Hunter songs, or songs sung by Linda Ronstadt, or from Texas.

Anne Hathaway as Hevrin Khalaf

For whatever reason my computer stores a review of “Oceans 8” movie as a bookmark.
While reading the news this morning I learned of a politician and engineer who was murdered in a war crime in Northern Syria. Her name was Hevrin Khalaf age 34. The murder seems a consequence of Donald Trump’s abrupt change in policy in the region, which commentators speculate was done to please Putin.
Maybe a movie version of the life of Hevrin Khalaf would star Anne Hathaway.
A Quentin Tarantino version of this movie would include the female protagonist surviving the carjacking execution, coming to Washington, maybe for the World Series, then kneeing in the balls the famous pussy-grabber.

Painter who can describe CH

MituNYC

At Gallery House, there are two cityscapes of NYC by Mitun (Balman) who also, I discovered, studied math well enough to, several years later, after Berkeley, describe CH (by Paul J. Cohen) with considerable depth. I wish I could have filmed her. My phone had died.

Maybe the Steve and Eric about Dad and Math film could include various people trying to describe CH, or the number line or the types of infinity.

I’d like to reread Amir Aczel Mystery of The Aleph (actually Mitun set me straight about the infinity symbol and the cardinality symbol the first letter of the Hebrew series).

For about a week after reading Mystery of the Aleph I might be able to explain this.

So not only does the number line go forever, to infinity or towards infinity but there are types of infinity. Many types of infinity. Also, although the average person can only think of 0, 1 or 2 examples of irrationals, there are actually more irrationals than counting numbers. Many more. Also, if you put your finger down on the number line, you are more likely to hit an irratiional so to speak than a rational (1/2, 3/2 etc)

When Cohen came up with all this, to solve a problem that had been buffudling to smarty people for about 60 years, since Hilbert’s, he had to go to Princeton and speak to Godel himself about. And Cantor sort of went crazy working on this.

The New York cityscapes with big weird skies I liked better than the reproduced versions of the cacti. I liked the pottery — maybe she can do one with fake Hopi allusions. Also the little doodlebugs on the floor reminded me of Joseph Campbell re Indra and the Ants:

anand: she had never heard of Mindy Kaling…

Playing the horses

Sky Glory not to be confused with This Guys Glory Hole, getting to the gist of the matter or manner or manor or menorah

Glenvoy – guy named Glen who is an envoy

My Man Draymond – I never took him for a bottom

Askin’ For Trouble — exactly

Gooch Express – seems vaguely racist

Kona Breeze — is that a drug  reference  I’d bet him on 4/20

Cajun Bettor — reads better as “butter” “better” or “baton” Or is it a reference to Chris Strachwitz and His investment in music from Lafayette LA?

Greg sat – autocorrect of “Gregdar”

Crack A Cold One — sounds druggie to me or were there 2 indie rock bands Crack?

shifty dancer — TMW reports in real time that they are giving her time off Monday

Liberty Park – if Liberty Ellman fronted Linkin Park or in a duo with Mike Park

Zedekiah — there are six different ways to mispronounce this

Sunrise Journey took the Fifth

Neptune’s Spear — don’t ask where he keeps it

Aalsmeer — something tells me this horse is belated to Glenroy

Better Trip Nick — first word can be used as two parts of speech likewise trip has two or more meanings as does Nick  I would pick him in the third, by a nose

Little Cents has Little Feet  shoe enuff

Cartellate reminds me of the time a week ago that  Duffy ate part of a chick

(I’m putting myself to slrrp)

Red Livy was all Ivy

the one six back sounds like a rest home

lucky ant area — reminds of McHales Navy movie where they heard “your in a fine area” for “mine” meaning explosives

Raiderette — I still have a recollection of 1975 guys next to me at Oakland football game has a crush on Anita … Wheeler??

Atonarun — atoning for what? Poopies?

Power Times Two Ie 2hp?

Hardy Chisel I read as Handy

another byproduct of Andy Dolich class Guys and Dolls and their Smart Phones

Larry Jackson 1964 VS Larry Jackson 2009

F337B6CB-577E-4C3D-BE3B-278DC48DFD3E

Larry Jackson of the cubs won 24 games for a mediocre team the year I was born

C64914CC-F461-43D0-83BA-63664802A687

Larry Jackson the pro soccer goalie and coach was a freshman at gunn in 2009 the year I organized a 25 year reunion of our championship basketball team Tom Jacoubosky mentioned him —he was the national team U 15 goalie so did not suit for the titans. He played for Santa Clara, and New England in the MLS before the Oakland Roots. I believe he was fostered by Mr. Geers and therefore eligible to attend Gunn, tho his bio says he is from East Palo Alto. Jackson was the fourth going to graduate to play for the MLS including Andrew Jacobson, Mark Marquess, And check back to see if I actually correct this Mehdi Bellachy  of morocco, Who I saw the score the winning goal Santa Clara two to one over Stanford in front of a sellout overflow crowd at the old Maloney Field before they built high fences.
