Earthwise concert with Akira Tana Otonowa “Soundcircle” at El Palo Alto Friday March 13, 2020 which Tana says is Roy Haynes’ 90th birthday. Five subsequent shows are cancelled due to the coronavirus called covid-19.

Here is a audio sample from the concert I believe the piece is by Mas Koga “Stars above Tohoku”:

at about 4:30 in his intro he says its called “Stars Across The Ocean” — the tape is a medley, a catch. I think the band also recorded it, intending to live stream. Separately, Motoko Honda performed piano solo as opener. (She’s not affiliated with the Otonowa project but I invited her to perform).
