Plastic Alto with Mark Weiss

I just like saying that. It’s a Sondheim reference, but also “Mad Max”

Weirdly – -this is plastic alto, right?  – this morphed into a discussion of racism out of Charlotte NC and Tulsa OK not Okey with activist and educator and corporate diversity expert Raven Solomon — I was researching a Cassandra Wilson original song based on the Bible called “Solomon Sang” or “Song of Solomon” and its line “ravens pray for rain”. Ravens play for reign? That’s NFL. Been a minute.

My next post would be a teaser – -it has me thinking — about Raven Solomon and her sign “Define ‘bad dude'”.

This is published without an illustration – my conceit is that a lark was singing and now it bites. The world is getting harsher. There was an interview with Sondheim about this lyric.

and something Leonard Koppett: The Man in The Dugout. I recall at uni that they said to put titles in italics not quotes. Plus Kelefa Sanneh who I’m making some progress with: Major Labels: A History of Popular Music in Seven Genres rock r&B country punk hip hop dance pop no jazz but why do you need to think that hard or be that articulate about any of this?
