Kudos to John Chowning Grammy Award for lifetime technical achievement

Maybe they should give The John Chowning Award to the recording Academy.

I might be misremembering this, but I believe John Chowning Junior and I and two other boys attended a rock concert together at the Winterland, Queen and Thin Lizzy.

That was March 6, 1977 which by my math is two days short of exactly 49 years ago. Professor Chowning , who is a pioneer in computer music and the founder of the CCRMA lab, is the father of a high school math teacher, who was my classmate for six years and the grandfather of an outstanding former high school basketball player named Evan Dray. Of Gunn High, Stanford and East Palo Alto Prep not necessarily in that order.
