I am boning up om my Margolism so as to enhance my appreciation of my upcoming Bob Margolin Jimmy Vivino show July 6 at Mitchell Park El Palo Alto Room — about 3 weeks from now. I noticed that his new album, the one I saw in Living Blues, self-titled, has a cover of Bob Dylan “I Shall Be Released” which was also part of the program 40 years ago at The Last Waltz at Winterland.

Weird segue: I bought tickets to Palo Alto Black and White Ball coming up at Lucie Stern center in October and noticed the bands include Mustache Harbor and a Neil Diamond tribute, Super Diamond. Well, here is Bob Margolin standing next to Neil Diamond himself at the big finale:
