Protomartyr is a band I never heard of until I stumbled into Ben Winant’s Tunnel records at Taraval at 44th just yesterday while getting my saxophone serviced by Lee Kramka at 27th and Taraval. They have a rare single on sale for $50 pictured below and they’re also playing the Independent December 18 for $17 in advance. That alone would’ve been enough for a plastic alto post but the AutoCorrect or just my stupid fingers or my sticky fingers Wanted to leave it at the word “Marty” which reminded me of Martin Sexton who is coming through town and has a day off on Monday, January 28 my birthday I had joked previously hear that Martin Sexton would play city winery Palo Alto which does not exist ( except in one email too that guy from knitting factory) i.e. fake news but maybe he would fit at Cafe Zoe in Menlo Park.
It is coming through the area end of January and potential he in the 650 stay tune
