I met Dana Moret the vocalist at Fremont Art and Wine Festival

She was singing mostly 1970s rock belters (with a great young guitarist power trio) but she said she also sings with Lydia Pense and Cold Blood, from Sacramento.

Noticing this version of “Bobby McGee” it reminded me of Seth Morgan, who I met in SF in 1990 or so. He wrote “Homeboy” but then was killed in a motorcycle accident (that may have also taken the life of his companion or girlfriend).

Someone should write a sad song about Seth Morgan.

I’m hoping to write more about the show I saw today in Fremont.
