Two of my favorite pianists, Patricia Barber and Helen Sung, appear next month at SFJazz.

Patty headlines February 12. Helen appears as a side person and sister in sync with Terri Lynn Carrington, Sat the 14. Eric Reed plays that Friday, accompanying Mary Stallings. Quite a Six-hand package, I wonder where they might hang late night for a cutting contest WATCHIt . reminds of one night in Clermont with Henry Butler , Ivan Lewis of Cuba, Mulgrew Miller. Meanwhile Pharoah yes o before a except on SFI, Sanders I call him Little Rock or Farrell has 2 more hits. And speahikng of chix with sticks Alli Miller kumbaya as well.

That’s why I hate the bumper sticker Keep Jazz Alive. You gotta beat them off with a stick.
