   brittnee purtee is a musician, student and writer (or at least a twitter, or a tweeter…???) in bellfontaine Ohio, which my favorite search engine is seducing me into believing is kinda near Woody Hayes Stadium — she might be a Buckeye — but not that far from Toledo or Dayton or Cleveland even.

   not sure if that is her real name or just her stage name and non de plume.

   but if you get out west on tour. let us know and we will help out per appropriate. For example, there is this thing called Mann Act which is a career killer in A and R. Although Mark Weiss of Earthwise Productions did give The Donnas their first paid gig — under the name Ragady Anne — he made three of the four young ladies sign a permission slip.

   If Brittnee Purtee does go on tour next summer, she might bring her dad or mom or uncle along as a roadie and chaperone. the experience, even busking a couple hours each day, would make a great topic for a private college admissions essay. I have heard good things about Dennison. Or Oberlin.

   If you like hockey and football as much as music and twitter — is that a sport? – I can perhaps put you in touch with my Dartmouth classmate Katie Brown whose granddaddy started both the Cleveland Browns and the Cincy Bengals. What can Brown do for you in OH is considerable.

   somehow my pre-coffee i just said i was going to spend next three days catching up on my reading but here i am not TC Boyle or Jeannette Walls but me, me, me, edit to add: my brain sans coffee even flashes now to the George Clooney movie with Ryan Gosling about politics and it too as does this blog takes place in OH — land of the Pretenders, ay oh way to go Ohio and all that — “Ides of March” which is also my mom’s birthday coming up — and has the theme of not messing with younger or underage women — not to be a plot-spoiler but no one saw this movie Also didn’t the Soderbergh version of the BBC chiller Traffic also take place in OHio?

   there is a thematic thread here from “Making It’ and Stew in that the big falling out with Stew happened because he didn’t like the hotel that Beachland Ballroom and I got for the band or what is the line there are seven versions of who did what to whom.

   i was gonna jump. i was gonna jump from brittnee purtee to raya zion my producer at KZSU “fits the format” jewish music show and our recent texting about march 15 and put up her doing something called “stil waitin” that I don’t otherwise know — is it by prince or by david byrne ?? — and then i found i think her name is narissa padua cannot resist linking this here to – has still waiting perhaps as a lyric not a title-
