
Cowboy Jack Clement
Hershel mentioned that he was excited to work with “Cowboy Jack Clement” while in Memphis with Chris Isaak so I was pleased to notice him last night watching a Johnny Cash documentary on PBS, “Johnny Cash’s America.”
In a parallel world, I am sitting here now watching the Shout Factory dvd about Jack called “Shakespeare.”

I have a weird orientation in that when I think of Johnny Cash I also think of Stephen Yerkey, who wrote a song called “Where Cash is King.” Here is a video of Stephen playing another song from that Lee Townsend produced set, (“Confidence, Man” on Heyday) called “Maker’s Mark” (“I have my maker’s mark, but I move under my own power…”):
